Cruzeiro beat New York Red Bulls in friendly

HARRISON, N.J. (AP) — Thiago Ribeiro scored two goals and set up another to lead Cruzeiro of Brazil to a 4-2 victory over the New York Red Bulls in a friendly on Friday night.

Welington Paulista also had a goal and an assist, while Cacapa tallied the other goal for Cruzeiro, which scored four times in the opening 51 minutes.

Juan Pablo Angel and Conor Chinn tallied for the Red Bulls, who were playing for the first time since June 5.
