YACOLT, Wash. (AP) — A Battle Ground School District spokesman says a school bus ended up in a ditch Friday with live power lines coming to rest on top of the bus. Spokesman Gregg Herrington says the driver kept everyone on the bus until Clark County Public Utilities crews could arrive and shut the power off. The driver and the 38 students aboard were unhurt.

The bus went off the shoulder of a road in Yacolt in southwest Washington. It hit a driveway and went into the ditch across the driveway, snapping a power pole.

The students were put on a second bus.
