JOHANNESBURG (AP) — South African police say an England fan will appear in court Sunday to answer a charge of trespassing after allegedly entering the team’s locker room following a 0-0 draw with Algeria.

Police say the 32-year-old man was arrested Sunday morning at his hotel in Camps Bay, Cape Town.

The police statement does not confirm if the man is Pavlos Joseph, the south Londoner who gave an interview to a British newspaper claiming to be the intruder.

Joseph said he accidentally entered the locker room at Cape Town’s Green Point Stadium late Friday and spoke with David Beckham.
