Olympians Beisel, Lochte win at Santa Clara.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Olympian Liz Beisel won the 400 individual medley Saturday at the Santa Clara International Invitational Grand Prix.

The 17-year-old Beisel reached the finals of the Beijing Olympics in both the 400 IM and 200 backstroke. She placed third in the 100 backstroke in 1:02.21.

Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte won one of his signature events, swimming 1:58.74 to take the top spot in the 200 backstroke.

Japanese Olympian Masayuki Kishida won the men’s 100 butterfly in 53.27, Southern California incoming freshman Kasey Carlson took gold in the women’s 100 breaststroke with a 1:09.13 and Australian Olympic bronze medalist Patrick Murphy went 3:52.98 to capture the men’s 400 freestyle.
