BEND, Ore. (AP) — About 15,000 people lost their power in Bend on Sunday morning after a pickup truck ran into a power pole. The power company says electricity was restored by 6 a.m.

The driver of the vehicle, Joseph Kim, was transported to St. Charles Bend with injuries that were not life threatening. Police have cited him for driving under the influence and reckless driving, as well as criminal mischief for damage to the pole and transformers in the area.
