JP Morgan Chase & Co. plans to open two new branches in Vancouver by December.

Robertson and Olson Construction will begin work this summer on a new branch in a corner of the Safeway parking lot at Northeast Andresen Road and 63rd Street. Construction will also soon start at a second branch near the WinCo at Northeast 119th Street and state Highway 503.

The New York-based bank, which currently operates 19 Clark County branches, is expanding throughout the Portland-metro region and plans to add six to eight more branches next year, including three to four more in Vancouver, said Ray Lindley, market manager for Chase in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

“We still don’t have nearly the presence in Vancouver that we should have, (and) the branches we have there are growing quick,” he said.
