KENNEWICK, Wash. (AP) — A 4-year-old is reportedly doing fine after falling out a third-story apartment window in Kennewick.

KONA reports she was sitting on a window sill Wednesday when the screen gave way. Her aunt had warned her to get down, but the accident happened too quickly to stop.

The girl was taken to Kennewick General Hospital.

Police say the fall is a reminder to safety-proof windows, especially in hot summer months.
