Wash. state Marine dies in Afghanistan

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. (AP) — The Defense Department says a 23-year-old Marine from Spokane Valley, Wash., has been killed in Afghanistan.

The department said Thursday that Cpl. Joshua R. Dumaw died Tuesday while supporting combat operations in Nimruz province. He was assigned to 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, II Marine Expeditionary Force, based at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C.
