Published: June 25, 2010, 12:00am

Hayden Island residents and businesses will have a chance Tuesday to weigh in on the latest options for accessing the island with a new Columbia River Crossing.

The public meeting will be held from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Jantzen Beach SuperCenter community room. A presentation will be held at 6 p.m., with public testimony beginning at 6:15 p.m.

Portland-area officials put forward a couple of broad alternatives to lessen the hulking footprint of the new bridge’s landing on Hayden Island. Those concepts have continued to evolve, and area residents will be asked their opinions about the latest on- and off-island interchange designs.
