VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) — U.S. Sen. Patty Murray has told hundreds of cheering Democrats in Vancouver, Wash., that “the work that we believe in is under way.”
Murray spoke Friday night at the opening night banquet of the Washington state Democratic convention.
Murray is running for her fourth six-year term, facing a challenge from leading Republican candidates Dino Rossi and Clint Didier.
She told the crowd that Democrats have stood up for working families and small businesses. And she says she personally has worked hard on behalf of veterans.
