NEW YORK (AP) — San Antonio teammates Becky Hammon, Sophia Young, Michelle Snow and Jayne Appel finished in the top 10 in fan balloting for next month’s WNBA vs. USA game.

This year’s version of the WNBA All-Star game, to be held July 10 at Uncasville, Conn., features the U.S. national team facing a squad of the league’s remaining All-Stars.

The top 10 vote-getters announced Tuesday, were guaranteed roster spots on either team. Players in the national team pool will play for the U.S., coached by UConn’s Geno Auriemma. The others will be on the WNBA team led by league-leading Seattle’s Brian Agler.

The Storm’s Sue Bird, an two-time Olympian, was tops with 127,490 votes. Hammon, who won a bronze with Russia at the Beijing Olympics, was second with 116,391.
