An inmate at the Larch Corrections Center in Yacolt who escaped custody in January has been apprehended in Portland.

Derek Brian Price, 28, was arrested by Multnomah County sheriff’s deputies and booked in the Multnomah County Jail on no bail. He will be extradited to Washington at an undetermined date, according to a press release from the Department of Corrections.

Price and another offender, Christopher A. Woodrum, 23, went missing from Larch Jan. 2 after failing to report for a roll call. Woodrum was apprehended Jan. 18 in downtown Kent.

Price was sentenced in Pierce County to prison for second-degree burglary, auto theft and drug violations.
