Grants aimed at groups that spay, neuter pets

Clark County is giving out up to $15,000 in grants to local organizations with programs dedicated to spaying and neutering animals.

To apply, submit an application by 5 p.m. March 31 to the county’s Animal Protection and Control Advisory Board.

Decisions will be made by county’s three commissioners.

The program is funded by the county and the City of Vancouver as an effort to reduce animal control and shelter costs.
