FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Oregon will try to defend its national championship in men’s indoor track and field, while Tennessee hopes for a repeat on the women’s side. The two-day NCAA championships start Friday.

Oregon and Tennessee were the indoor champions last year, although Texas A&M swept the men’s and women’s outdoor titles in Fayetteville in June.

Oregon coach Vin Lananna said Wednesday he would not travel with his school’s teams because of blood pressure issues, although he left open the possibility of coming later in the week.
