Adam LaRoche helps Arizona beat Oakland 10-1

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Adam LaRoche hit a two-run homer off Brett Anderson in the first inning and the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Oakland Athletics 10-1 on Friday.

Ian Kennedy threw three scoreless innings for the Diamondbacks. He allowed two hits, walked one and struck out two.

Anderson pitched 2 2-3 innings, giving up three runs and four hits.

Daric Barton went 3 for 3 for Oakland to raise his spring average to .400.
