Pistons F Prince leaves game against Boston

BOSTON (AP) — Detroit forward Tayshaun Prince limped off the court with assistance during the first quarter of the Pistons’ game Monday night against Boston.

Prince fell backward and collided with teammate Jason Maxiell after a shot attempt. Prince stayed on the floor for several minutes, holding his back, while doctors attended to him.

He was helped off the floor, limping.

The nature or extent of the injury was not immediately clear.

Prince missed 26 games earlier in the season with a back injury.
