Roadside bomb kills 1 in southwest Pakistan

QUETTA, Pakistan (AP) — Police say a roadside bomb has exploded in a city in southwestern Pakistan, killing one person and injuring three more in an attack blamed on ethnic militants.

Senior police officer Hamid Shakil said the bomb in Quetta was planted beside a rickshaw.

Quetta is the capital of Baluchistan province, where the government has been fighting ethnic Baluchi militants.
