DALLAS (AP) — Adrian Aucoin scored in the fourth round of the shootout and the Phoenix Coyotes matched a franchise record with their ninth straight victory, 3-2 over the Dallas Stars on Sunday night.

The Winnipeg Jets, who moved to Phoenix in 1996, also won nine in a row from March 8-27, 1985. Closing in on their first playoff berth since 2002, Coyotes have 97 points to match Chicago for the most in the Western Conference, pending San Jose’s late game at Edmondon.
