The Fred Meyer store in Salmon Creek was evacuated this morning after a forklift operator accidentally broke a gas pipe.
Clark County Fire District 6 had the gas shut off and cleared the store from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. while Northwest Natural investigated the leak. At the end of the hour, Northwest Natural found that it was safe for customers and employees to reenter the building.
The Fred Meyer store is located on Northeast Tenney Road.
