OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — Washington’s Department of Transportation says it will have more than 65 construction projects under way this summer.

The department said Monday that the projects include a new, $47 million bridge to replace the 85-year-old structure that carries State Route 529 across Ebey Slough near Marysville.

Other major projects include further work on the $183 million SR 16 Nalley Valley interchange in Tacoma, and the start of construction on the Highway 99 Alaskan Way Viaduct replacement in Seattle.
