EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is helping police investigate the theft of about 100 handguns from a Lynnwood gun shop.

A spokeswoman told The Daily Herald of Everett the agency is helping to catalog the stolen weapons and enter serial numbers into a federal database. The guns will be identified if they’re recovered or taken to a pawn shop.

The weapons were taken in a break-in last week at Lynnwood Gun and Ammunition.
