A Pizza Hut driver bringing an order to the Ashley Terrace Apartments, 4500 Nicholson Road, was robbed about 9:25 p.m. Friday.

According to police radio reports monitored at The Columbian, the driver was bringing an order to the C building at the complex when he was accosted by a group of about five men in their late teens and 20s. They stole the food and fled.

When police arrived, the residents of the apartment where the deliveryman was headed said they had not ordered any pizza. The restaurant reported the order was placed by a first-time customer with an Oregon phone number who said he would pay cash.

Several people were detained for questioning.
