SNOHOMISH, Wash. (AP) — The Snohomish County Sheriff’s office says a man suspected of stabbing another man Friday tried to hide from authorities by jumping in the hole of a Port-A-Potty.

KOMO News reports that the 28-year-old man is suspected of stabbing a 30-year-old man in the abdomen. Authorities say they don’t know what prompted the stabbing, but that the men knew each other.

A witness guided deputies to a portable toilet, which the suspect was seen entering, but not exiting.

The stabbing victim was taken to Haborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities say the man was booked into Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree assault.
