PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Former NBA coach Doug Collins has been interviewed by the Philadelphia 76ers for their head coaching position.

The Sixers said that Collins met Saturday with general manager Ed Stefanski and other members of the organization in Arizona.

Stefanski says he likes Collins’ track record and knowledge of the game. Collins played for the Sixers before he went on to coach Chicago, Detroit and Washington.

Collins is a TNT analyst.

The Sixers are set to interview former Dallas coach Avery Johnson on Monday.
