VANCOUVER — The first of three scheduled community forums on Evergreen Public Schools’ budget for 2010-11 and beyond comes on Monday.
Monday’s forum will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Cascade Middle School, 13900 N.E. 18th St.
Evergreen is preparing changes to next year’s budget, in response to reduced state funding and to support kindergarten expansion and other proposed revisions. District leaders will discuss options and potential impact on future budget cycles.
Additional forums, also 6 to 7:30 p.m., will be held on May 10 at Covington Middle School, 11200 N.E. Rosewood Road, and on May 19 at Shahala Middle School, 601 S.E. 192nd Ave.
