OXFORD, Miss. (AP) — Terrico White will hire an agent and enter the NBA draft instead of returning to play at Mississippi next season.
White is the second starter to leave the Rebels in the last six days. Forward Murphy Holloway said late last week that he intends to transfer so he can be closer to his daughter in South Carolina.
White was one of the nation’s best young players. The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 15.1 points per game this season, helping lead the Rebels to a share of the Southeastern Conference Western Division title and the NIT semifinals.
He was a member of the U.S. Under-19 World Championship team last summer. He finishes his career at Ole Miss with 955 points.
