SEATTLE (AP) — A Shoreline man accused of beating a housemate with a table leg pleaded not guilty Tuesday to a second-degree murder charge.

The mother of the victim, 31-year-old Jacob Linton, cried in King County Superior Court Tuesday as 23-year-old Stephen Pollock entered his plea. He remains jailed with bail set at $1 million.

The King County sheriff’s office says Linton was attacked while napping in the basement of his home on April 25 and died May 3 at a Seattle hospital.
