A baby in a car seat Tuesday night during a single-car rollover was unharmed, according to a bulletin from the Vancouver Fire Department.

The car came to a rest on its side after rolling in the 11900 block of Northeast 18th Street.

The vehicle’s driver was also uninjured. A passenger in the about 10 p.m. crash was transported to an area hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. A newly constructed island on Northeast 18th Street was believed to have contributed to the rollover.

The bulletin from the fire department came with a reminder: “Seatbelts save lives.”
