DOVER, Del (AP) — Aric Almirola has earned his first NASCAR Trucks victory at Dover International Speedway.
Almirola survived a wild end to Friday’s race, taking the checkered flag in a green-white finish.
Kyle Busch led most of the race and was in third heading into the final restart. But he made an unexpected pit stop and finished 16th.
Almirola, who lost a lap earlier in the race when he had a flat tire, jumped into first place in the points standings.
James Buescher was second and Justin Lofton was third.
