MARYSVILLE, Wash. (AP) — Police say they have no suspects in string of five trash bin fires early Monday in a three-block area of Marysville.

Two of the fires were at Totem Middle School where quick work by firefighters kept flames from spreading to the building, which was darkened by soot.

Fire District spokeswoman Kristen Thorstenson says all the damage is minor.

The fire district is asking residents and building owners to keep garbage cans and any other combustible materials at least five feet away from structures.
