ISU boots RT Haughton off team

AMES, Iowa (AP) — Iowa State has dismissed starting right tackle Scott Haughton for violating team rules.

Cyclones coach Paul Rhoads made the announcement Wednesday. No details about Haughton’s dismissal were disclosed.

Haughton is from Sanford, Fla., and would have been a senior next season. He had started 17 straight games for the Cyclones.
