PASCO, Wash. (AP) — A Pasco man charged with murder in the death of his pregnant ex-girlfriend has been charged with manslaughter in the death of her unborn baby.

Franklin County prosecutors added the charge Thursday against 22-year-old Kurtis Robert Chapman in the death of the girl who would have been born in mid-June. She died of a lack of oxygen.

Chapman is accused of strangling 19-year-old Shenay Greenough in an argument about breaking up. Her body was found May 10 under Chapman’s father’s home in Pasco.

Chapman remains in jail on $1 million bail.
