A single-story house will be set on fire Saturday to provide local firefighters an opportunity to practice battling a burning structure.

The house and an outbuilding at 5603 N.E. 239th St. in Ridgefield will be set ablaze and doused by firefighters from the Vancouver Fire Department, Fire District 6 and the host department, Clark County Fire & Rescue.

The live training gives new firefighters an opportunity to train under the supervision of experienced personnel, according to a news release.

For information, call Cpt. Brian Stewart, 360-887-4609.
