KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Junior guard Scotty Hopson scored 17 points to lead No. 23 Tennessee to a 91-42 exhibition victory over Brevard on Wednesday night.

Freshman forward Tobias Harris added 16 points for the Volunteers, and senior center Brian Williams and freshman point guard Trae Golden had 11 points each.

Tennessee, playing without junior guard Cameron Tatum (knee) and sophomore forward Kenny Hall (foot), started slowly and led 11-7 after six minutes before pulling away from the Tornados. The Vols led 43-16 at halftime, and the lead grew to 81-32 with 7:21 left.

Senior guard Josh Roper scored 15 points for Brevard, an NCAA Division II program from North Carolina.
