LAS VEGAS (AP) — Eight poker players in their 20s and a 37-year-old amateur are set to begin a final table run toward $8.94 million at the World Series of Poker.

The no-limit Texas Hold ’em tournament was resuming Saturday afternoon in Las Vegas, 111 days after the nine finalists last played together at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.

Hundreds of fans erupted in cheers after the players came onstage to count their chips while dozens of photographers and fans snapped photos.

Jonathan Duhamel, a 23-year-old poker player from Boucherville, Quebec, leads at the start of play with nearly 66 million chips.

Each player was paid nearly $812,000 in July for ninth place after making the final table. They’re playing Saturday and Monday hoping to make even more.
