Correction: Big 5 Sporting Goods

Sporting goods stores: Big 5 Sporting Goods’ decision to open a new store in Vancouver’s Orchards Marketplace to replace the company’s Westfield Vancouver mall store was made before the mall announced plans to renovate and add a 24-screen movie complex. A Tuesday story on Page E1 indicated, incorrectly, that the company is swapping locations to avoid mall construction, slated to begin in January. Construction work will be limited to evening hours and should not impact customers, mall officials said.
