ABERDEEN, Wash. (AP) — Grays Harbor Historical Seaport is closing in on it’s long desired home port.

Executive Director Les Bolton says the Seaport is negotiating with Weyerhaeuser for a 28-acre site in south Aberdeen to dock the ships Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain. The site could become a tourist stop with a visitors center.

KXRO reports funding for the center would come from grants and public donations the Seaport is now seeking.
