MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — A 50-year-old Lolo man accused of striking and killing a pedestrian in a drunken-driving crash in Missoula will be charged with vehicular homicide while under the influence.

A felony arrest warrant has been issued for Brian Holm for the Tuesday night crash that killed 24-year-old Brian Beaver of Aberdeen, Wash. Police Sgt. Travis Welsh says Holm, who remains hospitalized from the crash, is expected to be arraigned Friday — either at the hospital or in a courtroom.

Police say Beaver, his brother and stepbrother were walking on a sidewalk shortly after 10:45 p.m. Tuesday when Beaver was struck. He was pronounced dead at a Missoula hospital.

The three men were on their way to Yellowstone National Park and were staying in Missoula for the night.

Holm and his passenger were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. Holm has not been arrested because he is still being treated.
