AKRON, Ohio (AP) — Zeke Marshall scored 17 points and had four blocked shots to lead Akron to an 89-41 win over Millikin on Friday night.

Akron scored the first nine points of the game and led 22-3 with 12:09 remaining in the first half. The Zips went on to lead 48-9 at halftime.

Josh Egner added 15 points and Darryl Roberts had 14 for the Zips in their season opener. The game was an exhibition for Millikin, an NCAA Division III school in Illinois.
