DALLAS (AP) — Solomon Bozeman scored 17 points to lead three Arkansas-Little Rock players in double figures Friday as the Trojans turned a nine-point halftime deficit into a 57-47 victory over SMU, which scored just 17 points in an ice-cold second half.

The Mustangs led 40-36 at the 11:03 mark of the second half after a free throw by Mike Walker. They didn’t score for more than eight minutes until Rodney Clinkscales hit a 3-pointer at 3:02 to draw within 48-43.

The Trojans (1-0) sealed the win at the free-throw line, hitting 9 of 10 while SMU (0-1) missed six of its final seven shots and finished the game shooting just 27 percent (13 of 48).

Courtney Jackson and Eric Kibi each had 11 points for Arkansas-Little Rock. Clinkscales was the only SMU player in double figures while Papa Dia grabbed 12 rebounds to go with three blocks.
