MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) — Derek Carr passed for 286 yards and a touchdown, leading Tennessee-Martin to a 37-0 win over Tennessee State on Saturday night.

Jason McNair rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns for the Skyhawks (6-5, 5-3 Ohio Valley Conference), who won for the fourth time in their past five meetings with the Tigers (3-7, 0-6).

Carr, who leads the conference in passing yards with 2,543, completed 13 of 24 passes. He threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Stephen Shriver and also scored on a 1-yard run.

The Skyhawks had 517 yards total offense to 123 for the Tigers, who committed three turnovers. Nate Rottero returned one of the Skyhawks’ two interceptions 28 yards for a touchdown.

The win gives the Skyhawks the Sergeant York Trophy, which goes to the winner of the series between the four Ohio Valley schools in Tennessee — Austin Peay, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech and Tennessee-Martin.
