BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — University at Buffalo starting quarterback Alex Zordich will miss the team’s final two games with a broken rib.

Coach Jeff Quinn provided the update Monday during his weekly Mid-American Conference call. Quinn says Jerry Davis will likely start Saturday, when Buffalo (2-8, 1-5 MAC) hosts Eastern Michigan (1-5, 1-9) in the Bulls’ home season finale.

Davis lost the starting job after he struggled through the first six games of the season.

Zordich was hurt on a hard hit at the end of an 11-yard run late in the first quarter of a 20-3 loss to Ball State on Friday. The freshman has completed 39 of 94 passes for 428 yards, with a touchdown and six interceptions.
