RENTON, Wash. (AP) — The two cracks in Matt Hasselbeck’s left wrist are not significant enough that the Seahawks quarterback will miss any games.
That’s the message from Pete Carroll on Monday, a day after Seattle retook control of the NFC West with a 36-18 win over Arizona. Carroll says Hasselbeck has two small cracks in his left wrist and while he’ll be in some discomfort this week dealing with the injury, he should be able to play when the Seahawks travel to New Orleans on Sunday.
Hasselbeck was outstanding on Sunday against the Cardinals, despite injuring his wrist late in the first half and believing for a while he wouldn’t get back into the game. Hasselbeck threw for 273 yards in the first half and finished 22 of 34 for 333 yards and a touchdown. It was his most yards passing in three years.
