South Florida holds off St. Francis (NY) 74-71

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Ron Anderson Jr. scored 16 points to lead three South Florida players in double figures in a 74-71 victory over St. Francis (N.Y.) on Monday night.

Shaun Noriega and Jawanza Poland added 15 points each for the Bulls (1-1).

Noriega had all but one of his points in the first half, as South Florida took a 38-31 lead at halftime. His free throw with 6.1 seconds left in the game gave the Bulls a four-point lead.

Ricky Cadell led St. Francis (0-2) with 28 points. Stefan Perunicic added 13 points and Akeem Bennett had 12 for the Terriers, who led 20-13 midway through the first half.
