MIAMI (AP) — Latin pop singer Paulina Rubio is the delighted mother of a baby girl.
Rubio’s management issued a statement Tuesday saying Rubio and her husband, Nicolas Vallejo, became parents Sunday morning. Their daughter, Andrea Nicolas Vallejo-Nagera Rubio, was born in Miami weighing just under seven pounds.
Paulina and Andrea are in good condition.
The statement said the new parents appreciate “the displays of affection they have received throughout this special time and kindly ask for privacy.” She Tweeted Tuesday: “I am holding in my arms the most wonderful, precious gift I have ever received!”
Rubio is 39. This is her first child.
