North Carolina A&T routs NC Wesleyan 100-66

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Thomas Coleman had 17 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks to lead six North Carolina A&T players in double figures as the Aggies routed North Carolina Wesleyan 100-66 on Tuesday night.

North Carolina A&T (1-2) never trailed, although the score was tied twice early in the game, the last time at 6-6 with 15:36 to go in the first half.

The Aggies took a 51-32 lead at halftime behind 15 points by Coleman and led by as many as 37 points late in the second half.

Nic Simpson added 16 points, Adrian Powell had 14 and Austin Witter, Marc Hill and R.J. Buck had 11 apiece for North Carolina A&T.

The Division III Battling Bishops (0-1) were led by Matt Dougherty with 15 points and Alex Murray with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

The Aggies shot 52.3 percent from the field (34 of 65) compared to 32.9 percent (25 of 76) for North Carolina Wesleyan.
