ALBANY, Ore. (AP) — An Albany, Ore., fire spokeswoman says an early morning fire that destroyed a vacant home built in 1896 is the seventh suspicious house fire since Oct. 22. No one was injured.

Wanda Omdahl says the house was undergoing renovation. It was insured for $50,000.

She says the Linn County sheriff’s office is joining the fire department and Albany police in the investigation since Thursday’s fire was outside city limits.

Albany police arrested a 21-year-old man on Sunday for investigation of arson in three of the blazes. The Albany Democrat-Herald says he was still in the Linn County Jail as of Thursday morning.
