TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Reserve guard Glenn Andrews has left Tulsa’s basketball team after re-injuring his left knee.

Andrews missed all but two games last season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee. He received a medical hardship waiver, allowing him to regain that year of eligibility, but then hurt his knee again in Tulsa’s second game of the season Tuesday against Oral Roberts.

Coach Doug Wojcik says Andrews has been excused from the team so he can have the best chance to rehab his knee and get a fresh start at another school if he can get a sixth year of college eligibility.

Andrews averaged 7.3 points in 79 career games for the Golden Hurricane.
