FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas has a chance to complete a dramatic turnaround on Saturday.
The No. 13 Razorbacks (8-2, 4-2 Southeastern Conference) were 1-7 in SEC road games the past two seasons, including an 0-4 mark a year ago. Arkansas enters its game at No. 22 Mississippi St. (7-3, 3-3) with a chance to finish the year 3-1.
Leading the way for the road turnaround has been quarterback Ryan Mallett. The junior completed just 39 percent of his passes in SEC road games last year, but he’s 52 of 78 passing (67 percent) with five touchdowns and just one interception this year.
Also helping has been the emergence of sophomore Knile Davis, who has 550 yards rushing and nine touchdowns over his last four games. That includes 110 yards and three touchdowns in a win at South Carolina two weeks ago.
