GOVERNMENT CAMP, Ore. (AP) — Mount Hood Meadows Ski Resort says an infusion of fresh snow has it planning to open its skiing season on Saturday.
Resort officials tell KGW-TV the latest storm has dropped two feet of snow in just the past 24 hours. That means a base of 40 inches with more on the way.
A limited number of lifts will operate initially.
Timberline Ski Area opened on the last Friday in October. It’s also on Mount Hood.
Mount Bachelor says it plans to open for the season next Wednesday.
